Is Organic Really That Important?
We believe the short answer is most definitely YES! It's the reason that we chose to do what we do. More than 80% of the skin care products that are currently marketed as "natural" or "organic" have very little actual organic ingredients in them. Most contain only a few herbal extracts mixed into a poisonous chemical soup of paraben preservatives, artificial colors, synthetic fragrances, petroleum by-products, silicones, and plastics. This unethical practice is called "greenwashing" and is routinely employed by major manufacturers of personal care products.
Many of the cosmetics and toiletries used worldwide everyday contain dangerous chemicals that are either known carcinogens (cancer-causing agents) or have not been tested for their safety or potential side effects on human health. Have you ever tried to read the ingredients labels on your body care products? Most people can't even pronounce more than one or two of them. Do you know why they are in there or what potential effects they could have on your health? Most consumers erroneously assume that just because the product can be purchased at their local retailer, that it does not pose a risk to their health. Can you identify what's in your shampoo? What about your body moisturizer? Are there formaldehyde donors or petroleum by-products hidden in your make-up? Does it even matter?
It absolutely matters! What you put on your body will end up in your body. It is why we have chosen to use only certified organic ingredients wherever possible. Yes, it does cost more, but we think it's worth it. Organic ingredients are grown without the use of herbicides, pesticides, or synthetic fertilizers whose residues can remain in the plant's oils and other usable parts. Organically grown ingredients are not contaminated by genetically modified organisms. Products that use only organic ingredients are safer and healthier for you and your family. It's better for the environment , too. Organic farming also does not contribute to the contamination of our soil, air, and water supplies since they do not use synthetic chemicals and fertilizers.

Children and pregnant women are especially vulnerable to toxic chemicals. Most children's bodies do not fully develop the ability to process toxic chemicals until between the ages of 7-9! And we begin literally bathing our children in these chemical soups from the day the come home from the hospital. Pregnant women are vulnerable because their bodies are already working overtime to nourish and grow their new babies. Most of what the mother is exposed to, her baby is exposed to also.
The question remains: Why does the FDA knowingly allow so many different types of toxic chemicals in our products? The answer can be very multi-faceted. Most of the laws enacted by Congress have been heavily influenced by lobbyist groups who want to sway the language of the proposed bills in their favor. Large manufacturers of personal care products maintain very large and very powerful lobbies to protect their own interests. That's right, their OWN interests, not necessarily yours.
In North America literally thousands of people are suffering from adverse effects when using cosmetic products and most people don't associate burning, reddening of the skin, pimples, eye irritation, or rashes with a cosmetic product they are using. People simply discontinue to use of the product but seldom report it to the FDA. Many chemicals used in cosmetics never cause signs of toxicity on the skin, but contain potent systemic toxins.
We Are Cruelty Free
We DO NOT and have never participated in animal testing of any kind. We do not believe in this and because our all natural products are formulated with organic ingredients and without any toxic chemicals, we have no need to pursue animal testing.

Our Products Are GMO & GEO Free
We will NOT use any genetically modified organism (GMO) or genetically engineered organism (GEO) ingredients or any ingredients with synthetic chemical pesticides. We have intentionally avoided using common ingredients that are GMO contaminated such as corn, soy or wheat ingredients!
